1. Was there anything in particular that made you choose the 550 over other Garmin units (e.g., vs the nuvi line of products)?

What’s holding me back so far is the annoyance of having to update the maps every once in a while (not sure how much of an issue this really is).

Your Recent Articles display has a problem; under the title and date for each recent article, instead of showing the start of said article, it shows the start of the last article featured on the page. E.g., http://boren.nu/archives/2006/08/18/garmin-streetpilot-c550/ and http://boren.nu/
