The abstinence movement has some terrible sloganeering. Witness: “Condoms Don’t Protect the Heart”, “Sex Respect”, “Everyone Is NOT Doing It”, “I Kissed Dating Goodbye”, “Hang on to Your Hormones”, “Pet Your Dog, Not Your Date”, “Bod 4 God”, “Virgin Territory”, “No Trespassing”, and so forth. You can get these slogans on T-shirts, hats, bumper stickers, and keychains if you are so fixated on sex that your clothes and your car must proclaim your sexuality (or lack of it).
Witness also some of the fine thoughts being expressed by the abstinence movement.
Sexual activity outside of marriage is likely to have harmful psychological and physical effects.
Yikes, and I thought I was having a good time. Perhaps I just don’t realize that I am tormenting my delicate psyche each time I get laid out of wedlock. Perhaps this is like those repressed memories of ritual abuse that only surface when being interrogated by someone with a religious agenda.
Sexual self-stimulation may eventually leave the person unable to respond sexually to a real person.
Huh? Not knowing how to use your equipment makes you a better lover? If you can’t even get yourself off, you will probably be a bad lay.
Questions plant ideas.
Ask enough questions and collect enough ideas and you end up becoming educated. Don’t let it happen to you. God doesn’t like informed people. They are difficult to herd.
God’s plan for your sexuality.
They know God’s plan for sexuality? Did they have “The Talk” with God? Is there a “Sexual Ten Commandments”? I would rather have a “Libido Bill of Rights”. You have the right to orgasm. You have the right to peacably assemble for an orgy. You have the right to consensual sex with man or woman or both at the same time in any position you like. You have the right to talk about sex, ogle depictions of sex, make home movies, masturbate habitually, and not be ashamed. You have the right to not let God into your bedroom.
